Updating
Notification emails are sent to all users registered on the file portal. The latest changes to can also be found on the Xylok production install and on the file portal, alongside the installer.
We release a new Xylok version roughly once a month. The exact schedule is dictated by features, bug fixes, and the DISA STIG release cycle. If you have a need for a particular STIG update, contact us and we may be able to give you an installer outside our usual process.
Xylok version numbers make it easy to determine how up-to-date you installation is by including the year and month as the first two components. You can always find you exact version in the bottom of the Xylok sidebar:
In this case, the version number is v2022.02.2-907420-cf8e9f. This means it was released in Feb 2022. The third digit–2 in this case–is the count of the releases in that month. In the example, it was the second release pushed for that month. The two six-character sequences after that represent the exact code base and benchmark base we used for that release and are only useful when reporting issues to Xylok.
- Download the latest installer from the file portal.
- Copy installer to host system
- Run as root:
sudo ./installer.sh - That’s it!
