Client Details

Xylok is built with the ability to have multiple segregated “clients” to support testing compliance of completely separate organizations or units. In many scenarios this ability isn’t needed–if you have only a single client, Xylok will select that client automatically when you log in.

The Client Details (Clients->Client Details or click the name of the client in the bottom left of the menu bar on any page) screen is the starting point for all interactions with the details of a client.

Client details

On this screen is displayed:

  • Client-level metadata settings: name, short name, and the confidentiality, integrity, and availability (CIA) level. Based on that CIA level and additional overlays selected, the total number of controls is also displayed. To edit any of these, click “Edit” near the top of the box.
  • Question Answers: Some benchmarks require additional information to collect or analyze data. For more information, see Benchmark Questions and Answers.
  • Locations: Machines under a client are organized into locations. More details can be found in the Locations section.
  • Machine Families: Most organizations have “groups” of machines that should be configured similarly. These may be organized via Families.
  • Current benchmark versions. These are tied to the latest “ready” version of the benchmark, based on Xylok staff updating commands, so they may not strictly be the latest version of the benchmark from DISA.
  • Outdated Scans: Provides a link to a quick view for displaying machines which have not had data imported recently. The time period to consider is configurable to meet your needs.
