Title
Write or greater access to all LPA libraries must be limited to system programmers only. (Cat I impact)
Discussion
LPA modules, once loaded into the Link Pack Area, are capable of performing APF-authorized functions. This authorization allows a program to bypass various levels of security checking. Unauthorized access could result in the compromise of the operating system environment, ACP, and customer data.

Fix Text
Review access authorization to critical system files. Evaluate the impact of correcting the deficiency. Develop a plan of action and implement the changes required to protect LPA Libraries. The IAO will ensure that update and allocate access to all LPA libraries is limited to system programmers only and all update and allocate access is logged.
