Discussion

Microsoft has released a security bulletin addressing multiple vulnerabilities affecting Microsoft Office. To exploit these vulnerabilities, an attacker would convince a user to open a specially crafted file in an affected version of Microsoft Word or Office. If successfully exploited, an attacker would be able to execute arbitrary code and install programs; view, change, or delete data; or create new accounts and compromise the system.
