Title
Microsoft NFS Server Denial of Service Vulnerability (Cat I impact)
Discussion
Microsoft has released a security bulletin addressing a vulnerability in the NFS Server. Network File System (NFS) is an industry standard protocol, defined in RFC 1094, that provides transparent, remote access to shared files across networks. To exploit this vulnerability, the attacker would rename a file or folder on a read-only share. If successfully exploited, the attacker would cause a denial-of-service condition and compromise the affected system.
