Discussion

Microsoft has released a security bulletin addressing a vulnerability in the Service Control Manager. To exploit this vulnerability, an attacker would log onto a vulnerable system and run specially crafted applications designed to increase privileges. If successfully exploited, the attacker would be able to elevate privileges and further compromise the system/network.
