Discussion

Microsoft has released a security bulletin addressing a denial of service vulnerability in Windows NAT Driver in Microsoft Windows. To exploit this vulnerability, an unauthenticated attacker would send a specially crafted ICMP packet to an affected server that is running the Windows NAT Driver service. If successfully exploited, this vulnerability would allow an unauthenticated attacker to cause the affected system to stop responding until restarted.
