Title
Multiple Vulnerabilities in Microsoft .NET Framework and Silverlight (Cat II impact)
Discussion
Microsoft has released a security bulletin addressing multiple vulnerabilities in .NET Framework and Silverlight. The Microsoft .NET Framework is a component of the Microsoft Windows operating system that enables building and running software applications and Web services. Microsoft Silverlight is a cross-browser, cross-platform implementation of the Microsoft .NET Framework for building media experiences and rich interactive applications for the web. To exploit these vulnerabilities, an attacker would host a malicious webpage and entice a user with an affected application to view the page. If successfully exploited, these vulnerabilities would allow an attacker to execute arbitrary code and and compromise the affected systems.
