Updating and Update Frequency​

Most of Xylok's benchmarks are based on the DISA STIGs, which release on a roughly quarterly basis. For benchmarks used by our customers, we strive to get updates out as quickly as possible following this, typically within the month. Once benchmark updates are complete we release a new version.

New versions of benchmarks are installed using the normal Xylok updating procedure. Your machines and clients will be automatically bumped to use the latest ready version of the benchmarks.

Out-of-Cycle Updates​

By default, Xylok LLC will distribute new versions of benchmarks and updated commands with the standard Xylok Scanner installers. If an updated benchmark is needed prior to the update cycle, contact Xylok support and an early version of the benchmark may be available.

Custom Benchmarks​

Xylok is can develop and maintain custom benchmarks for your organization if needed, contact us for information.

For very specialized needs, Xylok has an in-house benchmark editing tool. This is typically an overkill solution for most organizations, but if you have a need for extensive self-support on unusual benchmarks you may be a good candidate. Feel free to contact us and find out more.
