Implementation Guidance

The organization being inspected/assessed documents and implements a process IAW DoD 5400.11-R and DoDI 5400.16 to provide effective notice to individuals regarding the consequences of exercising or not exercising the choices regarding how the organization uses PII.

Validation Procedures

The organization conducting the inspection/assessment obtains and examines the documented process to ensure the organization being inspected/assessed provides effective notice IAW DoD 5400.11-R and DoDI 5400.16 to individuals regarding the consequences of exercising or not exercising the choices regarding how the organization uses PII.
