Implementation Guidance

The organization being inspected/assessed defines and documents actions to be taken in response to attempts to obtain either unavailable or nonexistent documentation for information system, system component, or information system service. DoD has determined the actions are not appropriate to define at the Enterprise level.

Validation Procedures

The organization conducting inspection/assessment obtains and examines the documented actions to ensure the organization being inspected/assessed defines action to be taken in response to attempts to obtain either unavailable or nonexistent documentation for information system, system component, or information system service. DoD has determined the actions are not appropriate to define at the Enterprise level.

Compelling Evidence

1.) System security plan (SSP) or Incident response plan must document organization defined actions to be taken in the event of attempt to obtain unavailable or nonexistent information.
