The organization being inspected/assessed defines and documents the alternative communications protocols the information systems must be capable of providing in support of maintaining continuity of operations. DoD has determined the alternative communications protocols are not appropriate to define at the Enterprise level.

Validation Procedures

The organization conducting the inspection/assessment obtains and examines the documented alternative communications protocols to ensure the organization being inspected/assessed defines the alternative communications protocols the information systems must be capable of providing in support of maintaining continuity of operations. DoD has determined the alternative communications protocols are not appropriate to define at the Enterprise level.
