The organization being inspected/assessed defines and documents rules of engagement for red team exercise to simulate attempts by adversaries to compromise organizational information systems. DoD has determined the rules of engagement are not appropriate to define at the Enterprise level.

Validation Procedures

The organization conducting the inspection/assessment obtains and examines the documented rules of engagement to ensure the organization being inspected/assessed defines the rules of engagement for red team exercise to simulate attempts by adversaries to compromise organizational information systems. DoD has determined the rules of engagement are not appropriate to define at the Enterprise level.
